Why No One Will Hire Me.

I got laid off from my job, seven months ago. I have been praying that my employer will call me back to work, but with the way the economy is at a stand still, it doesn't look good. I have been looking for work with very few leads. It is going to be hard for me to find a job anywhere else because I present a problem for potential employers.
It goes back to me not listening to my Mother when I was young when she would tell me to choose one thing and stick with it. I never could do that so I ended up becoming what is known as a jack-of-all-trades. I have jumped from one career to another all my life. I would get bored easily with my job because it doesn't take me long to master a trade.
I have discovered that employers don't even want to talk to people like me. Most of them deny that a person like me even exists. I have been called a genius so often by my friends, that I get sick of hearing the word.
I started school at the age of five.(no kindergarten) I could already read and write well. I was never tardy or absent and made nothing less than an A+ the whole year. I was recognized and awarded for this at the end of the school year.
I was driving a stick shift and working on cars and trucks at the age of ten. I am an expert at many things now at the age of 53. I hold many certificates of achievement and diplomas and college credits, but no degree. I hope my employer will call me back to work soon, to the place where I am understood. The Machine Shop.

I never wanted the title of "Know it All" but it has been laid upon me at times. Usually from lackadaisical people who were too jealous to learn from me. I therefore, have become withdrawn from offering my help when I see someone struggling with a chore. I wait, to be asked for my help.
